Jacopo is the son of Violante and the late Cosimo.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Jacopo was the spoiled son of Cosimo the fair and Violante, known as her Ugliness. He is very rude and unkind in the beginning of the story, always taking his grandfather's side and spying on his mother, but near the end of the Inkdeath, he steals the White Book and brings it to Mortimer, who writes the three words and kills his grandfather. In the very end, Violante is said to take rule in Jacopo's stead until the boy is old enough to rule for himself.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Jacopo was described as petulant and spoiled. He isn't afraid to be impertinent to his mother either (actually he was the opposite. Although it isn't fully confirmed, it seems as if, near the end of the book (Ink Death) that he is partial to Brianna. [citation needed]
