[...], a book with five hundred blank pages. [...]: as long as that book exists you will be immortal. Nothing will be able to kill you, no disease, no weapons - as long as the book remains intact.

Unlike the book, those almost-blank pages are killing this wiki like how Mo secretly moisturized its every 10 pages!

Fairy is a species of mystical creature in the Inkworld.

OverviewModify the text

Physical attributesModify the text

Sometimes, when I went to the spring to wash early in the morning, there'd be tiny fairies flitting around above the water, not much bigger than the butteflies you have here, and blue as violet petals.
Dustfinger about the fairies in the Inkworld[citation needed]

Fairies are violet-blue butterfly-sized creatures. For some unknown reason, they glowed in the dark

PersonalityModify the text

Sometimes they spat in my face. They weren't very friendly, but they shone like glowworms by night.
Dustfinger[citation needed]

They aren't particularly vain, as Dustfinger states that they would paint their faces with mud so that he could guess the fairy underneath the layer.

Behind the scenesModify the text

  • Although the two worlds are supposedly one of the same, in Cornelia Funke's Mirrorworld series (known in German as the Reckless series), the Fairies are exclusively female immortal beings who dwell in their valley and have magical powers. Their physical attributes are lovely beyond compare and arouse lust to the point of suicide in mortal men. They have six fingers on each hand, each for a curse.
